GPS Status is wrong with BT

Jürgen Holm shared this problem 10 years ago
Solved

Hi,

did anyone observe this problem:

1. Turn external BT on

2. Start Locus

3. got a gps fix - GPS status on main memu switches to green

Then I

- deactivate gps or

- switch the screen off with the setting GPS->auto deactivate

After switching the screen on (or manually activate GPS) again, the GPS status

icon remains orange ( searching for location) forever. Nevertheless I get a GPS fix right away. The skyplot ist fine!

Has anyone had the same experience?

What is BT? I use the same setting GPS->auto deactivate. I generally turn the screen off. When I turn it back on the GPS status icon is orange and takes ~10..20 seconds to turn green once the lat/lon is again determined. I don't have your problem.

Sorry, BT means Bluetooth. I own an external GPS receiver (quartz XT).

You are right, there is no problem when using the internal GPS

Just tried this with my ext BT device Nokia LD-3W..

After pairing both, everthing is working as expected....green icon.

Takes some time to get the fix.

Latest version of Locus Pro and a KitKat Note 3..

can confirm a small status issure with two different BT GPS devices.

->BT connected - Satfix is ok - Status indicator is green.

->Switch to 3D-Plot screen - disconnect - wait - and reconnect

->After satfix is ok - go back to main -> Status indicator is orange

@Menion will put two new clips in our dropbox folder soon

Thanks guys for a report and gynta for a video. Unfortunately without BT device I can't simply solve this problem. And unfortunately I do not have any BT device right now with me. So hope next week Peter bring his device to office, so I'll check it.
