Missing saved tracks in LocusMap Classic version

Hi Locus Support,

I have both Locus Map Classic and Locus Map 4 installed on my Android phone. I’ve noticed that the tracks I’ve recorded or imported in Locus Map 4 are not visible in the Classic version.

I understand that the two apps may use separate data directories, but I wanted to check if there’s a way to make my tracks from Locus Map 4 accessible in Locus Map Classic — either via syncing, shared storage, or another method.

Could you please clarify if this is possible, and if so, how to do it safely?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Best regards,
Mitja

Hi Mitja,

beginning with version 4.28 of Locus Map 4, the working databases of both apps are no longer compatible. If you want to use both apps, keep their working directories separate. The only way of using the same data in both apps is via exporting and importing tracks, routes and points.

Hi Locus Support,

Thanks for the clarification.

Just to confirm: from version 4.28 onward, there is no way to maintain a shared database or sync between Locus Map Classic and Locus Map 4, correct? So the only option is manual export/import of data between the two.

That’s all I needed to know — thank you for the support!

Best regards,

Mitja
