Track recording: Quick add waypoints to track

In LM3 we had the option to choose between Side-panel and Bottom-panel for track recording. In LM4 we only have Side-panel. The only feature I'm missing from Bottom-panel is to quick add Waypoints to the track by one click.
Since I'm using this feature quite often if recording new tracks and features for OSM it would be great if we could add Waypoints to the track by 1 click instead of 2 right now using Side-panel which is kind of annoying if adding lots of waypoints:
Idea: If recording starts add another small button on top of Recording-button on the left, style it the same like the blue "Add"-button within the recording panel.

I use here New point (fast) symbol zig zag arrow.
I have already saved the points that I often need for OSM references there.
e.g. Grade 2 (name I have given) In the Text item, Grade 2 then appears.
I have standards here. A path is always gravel for me. If it deviates, I have a 2nd point for grass, natural surface, asphalt.
I use this to avoid too many variants. It's a modular system.

Thanks, but that's not a complete replacement for a one-click trackpoint button. The trackpoint button should be identical to the one already in use (including individual Icon&Name, Comment. and also quickly selct "Add photo point"). Just be reached by one click on the main screen if recording a track is active. And Track-Waypoints are saved and exported together with the track in one .gpx File to be opened in JOSM-OSM-editor for example including photos of the photo points
