Geocaching Live Map: Import Caches
Gathering feedback
2 ideas regarding Geocaching Live Map:
- "GC Live Map" dialog > Filter > User-defined: Right now if there's just 1 filter left, we can't remove it. Please let users remove each User-filter, since default "All geocaches" would be still available.
- In LM3 using GC4L-addon we had a function "Import Caches of Live Map". I think this useful one-click action is still missing in LM4. May add it to the "GC Live Map" dialog window.
Hello Sonny,
thanks for the idea.
- deleting of the last user-defined filter > good point. This limitation was before "All caches" filter was added. Improved
- import > I've added an option to the three dot menu in the Live-map dialog that re-callsthe "Search & import screen". You'll see in the next version.

Hi Menion, I tested Live Map import this weekend. I think it should be improved a little bit if possible ;-)
Right now if we cklick "Menu > Import" within Live Map's dialog, this is just a shortcut to Locus' function "Search for geocaches" for a certain number of caches, which actully is not the exact thing we want.
The real usage of Live Map import should be to import all the Caches *viewable on the current, rectangular map area*. Thus the number of Caches to be imported could vary from 1 to a lot more.. maybe to a maximum of 100 or so... The user is adjusting the map's area by zooming and scrolling to see the region of Caches he's interested to import.
This is also the way "Import Caches of Live Map" in LM3 using GC4L addon, or within C:geo works
- Btw: please add an icon to Android's info bar too if Live-map is active (right now just button turn green). This has been been a good optical feedback in LM3 if we forgot to turn off Live map after using it :-)

Hello Sonny,
understand. What you suggest really "replicate" existing old G4L behavior. I wanted to make it simpler, mainly for me as a dev :).
In this case, I'm re-opening this idea as it won't be implemented so easily and will require more votes to convince me. Thanks for understanding.

Downloading displayed caches and downloading information that a cache has an image (such as a spoiler) still makes me use G4L.
