Hello,

it has become impossible to follow a track already recorded

For notification of turns I select type of alert Txt to speech and when walking it announces 50 meters over 10 hours or over 2 hours etc ...These do not indicate to turn NNW or NNE

a few years ago these ads were correct and you could follow the tracks

Tank you for help

Hi Roland,

we're sorry for any inconvenience but:

- Locus Map 3 Classic hasn't been updated since October 2024 so nothing has changed in the app recently

- navigating a recorded track never announced commands like "turn NNW or NNE". It always notifies of the route turns or intersections.

Hello Michal

I didn't explain the actual problem very well.

By navigation a recorded track, it announced now: 50 meters over 10 hours, and a little later: 50 meters over 2 hours. This is incomprehensible. These instructions cannot be followed

Regards

The app announces the location of the route when you deviate from it and the recalculation is not in process yet, for example, "the route lies 50m at 5 o'clock". It uses orientation by a clock screen, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clock_position.

Hello,

Very disappointed with your suggestion.
It's your software that gives me these indications when I try to navigation an already recorded track. It's the designer, Locus, who should be solving this problem, not Wikipedia.

Try it with LM4.

Roland, there is no problem. I only sent you a Wikipedia link explaining the clock method of notification of the deviated route. If the app only announces clock directions, it means that you probably don't have route recalculation on, or the recalculation trigger distance is too long, or you have the automated navigation commands generating turned off. So, please check the following:

- go to settings > navigation > route recalculation > select "route priority" and e.g. 30 meters:

- in settings > navigation > advanced settings > frequency of commands - select "low", "medium" or "high":

Hello Michal

I had already checked the settings you report and started again according to your instructions, but sorry, the spoken voices continue to indicate so many meters then the time

Roland, could you please create a backup of your setup and send it for a test? Thanks.

Oh, sorry, I don't know how to backup Locus installed on my smartphone. With the smartphone connected to a PC, what folders would you need? As a last resort, I might consider using Locus Map 4

This is how you create the backup: https://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:tools:backup#manual_backup. The backup file is in the /LOcus/backu/ folder in Locus main directory. The directory can be accessed by PC on the newest Androids though...
