Import KML points and tracks into different folders

When planning a trip I create a map using Google Maps on my PC with significant points and a track (or tracks) between them. I export KML from this which I import into Locus.

With Classic I had the option to import the points and tracks at the same time into different folders. With Locus 4 this option seems to have been removed with points and tracks going into the same folder. I can move the tracks by loading them, saving to the tracks folder, the deleting them from hhe points folder but it is a faff I didn't have to do with Classic

Is there an option to import into separate folders as with Classic?

I see that as an advantage. Then they have everything they need for their trip in one folder.

Emphatically not an improvement. Allowing the same folder to be chosen for both on import would be an improvement, forcing that is certainly not.

I will start out with 20-50 points and 2-3 tracks. I want the tracks recorded during the trip in the same folder as the planned track. Having those mixed in with the 20-50 (on one occasion about 200) points is certainly a bad thing

Hi Roland,

the option to store imported tracks and points separately was in LM Classic because the old database wasn't able to store both in one folder. Now, if you want to separate them, select the tracks and move them to another folder .

"I want the tracks recorded during the trip in the same folder as the planned track. Having those mixed in with the 20-50 (on one occasion about 200) points is certainly a bad thing"

- create a subfolder for your recorded tracks in the folder with your whole trip - this way you have everything in one and separated at once.

Subfolders don't work for me. I want to be able to jump from one trip to another without navigating up and down trees

Moving to a different folder after import is what I will have to do. If this were a once only transfer it wouldn't be a problem but I revise and re-transfer several times during the 12 month planning period for each multi-day trip
