Locus 4 geocache navigation
Answered
Hello, I choosed to navigate to point (geocache). In Locus Classic, after the navigation is selected, the application starts voice and direction navigation immediately. In Locus 4, it starts Route planner with unfinished endpoint (screenshots), I have to select icon on the upper bar (maybe it is correct). I use BRouter offline navigation. Also when I stop sattelite gps signal, I can clear part of the route by moving cursor/screen (screenshots). When I start gps signal again, the route is half cleared and the start (gps position) is pointing off the route.
Hi,
in LM4 before the navigation is started, the route is displayed in the route planner so that you can edit it, change routing profile, add waypoints, etc. OR, you can just tap the starting button in the topbar.
"when I stop sattelite gps signal, I can clear part of the route by moving cursor/screen (screenshots)"
- you probably have a movement simulation speed defined in the app's config file. When you turn off GPS, the cursor simulates your location. Either don't turn off GPS when navigating, or change this parameter in the config.cfg file:
"When I start gps signal again, the route is half cleared and the start (gps position) is pointing off the route."
- the app registers your previous location despite it was mocked

I have 0.0 this in config, but I moved the cursor manually by moving map while offline, I can attach video of this scenario (set route, gps down, move map manually by finger on screen with cursor over route, and gps up):
# set speed for moving cursor on map when GPS is off (in m/s) (default: 0.0)
# - value <= 0 disable this feature
speed_for_moving_cursor_when_gps_off=0.0

I've checked it with the devs and the behavior of the cursor is the same when the mockup speed is 0.0 - the app considers cursor position as your real position when GPS is off and then considers the part of the navigated route as though you rode it. It's the same in LMClassic. To avoid this behavior, don't turn off GPS when navigating.

Thank you, I found workaround by turning off routing gps in menu when the screen is off because I need to preserve battery drain.
