Route planner bug just arisen

Hi, since the latest upgrade to route planner, switching activity is causing an error on saving. Replicable: make a route with 3 segments walking, draw manually, and walking. When saved, the first segment loses its snapped route and becomes a straight line. On a longer route, all the segments except the last become straight lines. Please note this is a major bug! On any route for which any path is not in the osm background data (so has to be drawn manually) , route planner appears to be inoperable. Any advice? Thanks

I can't reproduce it. It works as usual and correctly for me.

Hi Mark,

thank you for the detailed report. Just to clarify — are you referring to the route planner in the Locus Map 4 mobile app or the web-based planner? If it's the mobile app, could you please also share the exact app version you're using? This will help us investigate more effectively.

Kind regards,

Ondrej

Hello Ondrej,

Thanks for your reply. I am on Locus 4 app for Android 4.30.1 , Gold subscription, UK customer.

I repeated the scenario before contacting. It looks fine until the save.

I have now been able to identify the source of the issue: Not a bug, but not very intuitive behaviour. If you click on a different profile in the new profile list while planning a route, the entire route is recalculated. Now you have to go to the three-dot menu and select "continue with".

You have to figure that out first if you haven't been following the new development of the route planner that closely. I had actually forgotten about it myself, as I rarely use the function and usually add individual segments with a long press on the plus button.
