Search for content updates does not work
In Progress
Hi
When I search for updates to Locus Map content, they are not displayed. Instead of the updates, I only see this message:" Congrats! All your maps are up-to-date." This is obviously not true. When I go to the individual maps in the Locus store, the updates are displayed normally and work without errors. This is not the first time the problem has occurred. The error does not occur on other devices that use Locus Maps via the same account. I only use LoMaps maps (all of Europe). I have deleted the cache and restarted the device. I use the latest Locus Maps version 4.30.1 on Android 15 with a Xiaomi 14T.
I would be grateful for any help
.
Hi,
thank you for your report. May I kindly ask whether the older version of the map, one that wasn’t listed in the recent update, was already installed on your device?
Thanks, Petr

Hello Petr,
I have installed all Europe Maps on the mentioned device and also on another device.
On one device all the updates were displayed when I searched for updates via the menu. On the second device I do not see any updates. I have already experienced this error in the past. I have already deleted the Locus Map cash and restarted the device, but without success.
If I manually select one of the maps for which there is an update on the other device, I can also download it, but Locus Map does not show this after a manual search for updates.
Does Locus Map not check which maps are available in the designated folder in order to offer an update for them when they become available? I can remember that in the past I copied the maps from the old device to the new device via the computer, I was able to use the maps in Locus Map, but at that time no available map updates were displayed on the new device.
Wouldn't it make sense that Locus Map checks which maps are available in the folder when checking for available updates instead of checking whether the maps have already been downloaded?

Hi,
Thank you for the additional information. Please note that Locus offers updates only for maps that are currently installed (downloaded) on the specific device. If a map has been removed or is no longer present on the device, its update will not be listed. Multi-update system is relatively new, and occasional issues may occur. We'd appreciate learning more about your situation so we can better understand and simulate the problem on our side.
>On the second device I do not see any updates
I expected that there were some maps in the older version on the second device, right? Were these maps downloaded also from Locus store or manually copied from first device?
Thanks, Petr
