Geocaching List GPX: Child Waypoints

Sonny shared this problem 23 days ago
In Progress

There's a bug regarding Geocaching List's GPX-Files: Child waypoints of Caches within a List aren't assigned to their parent Caches in Locus during import. They all are imported as individual Waypoints by mistake right now.

I'm attaching a testfile containing of 2 Caches with 1 child waypoint each.

Hi Sonny,

The issue was tested and simulated, and the devs were notified. Thanks for the report.

Sonny, what is the source of the GPX? Is it some new standard? If yes, we can implement it. And I was told by the devs that the import of caches with waypoints via GPX has never worked as you described.

Each Geocaching Premium member is able to create "Lists" (called "Bookmark lists" in the past) , which contain a series of geocaches: https://www.geocaching.com/plan/lists

There are several actions available for each list, one of them is "Download GPX". This is how I created the GPX-testfile above.

This GPX format including Child waypoints is the same like those of *single* Caches on their listing site, who's download has been able for ages + working in Locus. Relatively new is the download of a *series* of Caches into one GPX-file (like those of Lists). Fortunately GPX-format including child waypoint has been kept the same as for *single* Caches

I'm afraid it's still not working. please import the file I attached in my first post and see if the child waypoints (=parking lots) of the 2 caches are assigned to their parent Caches (optical: child and parent should be connected with a thin red line on the map. If not - something went wrong)
