Japanese characters in map of Japan
Answered
When I look at the LoMap of Japan, I see lots of names in Japanese characters only. How can I set the map to show (only) Latin characters transcription/English translation for every item?

Hi Rolf,
you can change the map language in its detail panel (more at https://docs.locusmap.app/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:maps_locusmaps#map_language). However, our LoMaps are generated from the OpenStreetMap database. This, as a crowdsourced and volunteer project, isn't edited properly everywhere in the world and may not contain names in Latin for all places.

Ah, I see! It helps a bit, but not 100%, as you mentioned. Thanks.
By the way, in these days you would think that the names can be translated by computers instead of volunteers.
