Geocaching data backup

Greetings.

Recently, I've lost my phone and had to buy a new one.

Fortunately, I was able to restore my data through the cloud backup.

The problem is that my geocaching data was not part of that backup, namely my data from the logs manager and my friends list.

Is there a way to include this in the cloud backup for cases like mine?

Yes, back up the entire Locus folder. I do this with drivesync and foldersync.

Everything I get from elsewhere is excluded from syncing. Maps, Elevation data, routing data.

I had problems with large files in one program. So I excluded the track database as well, since I have that backed up normally.

Hi,

you can also use the "App migration backup" that saves the whole Locus directory. More at https://docs.locusmap.app/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:settings:backup_fsys#app_migration_backup

That can't be done, because the device to backup from doesn't exist.

I started doing automatic backups to Dropbox. I guess that will help in case of something like this happens again.
