Displaying water sources on the map
Need Answer
Hello,
Is there a way to display water sources (like taps and tanks) in Locus Maps?
There are locations in Openstreetmaps for example, that have a "water tap" listed, however I cannot find a way of displaying this in LocusMaps.
One example can be seen here:
https://www.openstreetmap.org/edit#map=18/-26.191399/153.030558
OSM displays the water tap, LocusMaps doesn't.
Thanks

I use the POIs: Drinking water, Graveyard, Spring, Toilets.
They are displayed nicely on the map.

Hello Cecu. The reason why this particular water tap at Harry's Hut is not displayed in Locus: The water is specified as not drinkable. Locus does display water sources as "drinking water", but for plain water taps there is this potability condition. For similar reasons Locus does not display tanks with water used primarily for animals. So far there is no category "man made water, but better do not rely on potability".

Thanks for the reply. I haven't been able to find any POIs that show "water tank" or at least non potable water.
I understand that by default you might not want to show non-potable water, but for the location that I'm in (Australia) you need to reply purely on non-potable water sources when going off grid (which then needs to be treated before consumption).
One example would be here:
https://www.openstreetmap.org/query?lat=-27.916300&lon=152.848875
This is a campground on Lake Wyaramalong, OMS shows that there are 2 non-potable water tanks (with label "Water Tank"), which campers can use after treating the water.
I cannot find any way of showing this on Locus Maps.
Any help would be appreciated.

You might be able to filter and export them in OSM. There are programs for that, what's the name? And then import them into Locus.

Thank you, I have been able to use https://overpass-turbo.eu/ to query areas for points such as "water_tank" etc. Export the POIs and import them in LocusMap.
Thanks for your help.
It would be good if this query could be run natively from LM itself
