Missing historical places in the map
Declined
I live in Greece and I really enjoy traveling to historical places.
However, I’ve noticed a problem: in Greece, around 60% of historical spots are missing or unavailable on the map.
It would be great to have a feature that allows users to add new places to the public map, not just reviews of existing ones.
For example, an option to add a new place with a short description, historical background, and photos.
This could significantly improve map completeness, especially in countries with rich history like Greece, and help the community discover many lesser-known locations.
I like this idea
Places are obtained from a database called openstreetmap, for example https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/441183#map=11/37.9756/23.7353&layers=Y. If the historic place isn't in that database then Locus generally won't display it. It may also depend on which map theme you are using.

Hi,
as Andrew has mentioned, our LoMaps and LoPoints are generated from an external source: http://www.openstreetmap.org. The map and database are edited by volunteers around the world. If you are willing to contribute too, here are the instructions for your first steps: LearnOSM.
Editing the database with Locus Map is not available at the moment. The activity is too complex for a navigation app for hikers.
