Upgrade Classic to Premium-Gold, Settings-Backup? Payment ways?
Hello, I've been using Locus Classic since 2019 and now want to upgrade to Premium Gold.
1. Will all settings from "Classic" be transferred during the upgrade? Will all routes, tracks, and points be transferred?
2. Should I make a backup in "Classic" before upgrading? If so, how do I do that? Backups to Dropbox haven't worked for months, and Google Drive doesn't seem to work either!
3. Payment methods: I see on your website that I can purchase a one-year Premium license even without the Google Play Store. Is that correct? I would go to "Go Premium" in the app after installing LocusMap 4... (but I don't need a voucher, just a one-year license for my tablet and smartphone).
What payment methods can I choose? PayPal? Visa card?

The one in the middle corresponds to the Google Play version.

If you use the Google Play version, download the middle one, as Freischneider recommended, into your phone's "downloads" folder.
Create a backup (optionally, installing an app doesn't delete its data) with the Backup manager (more info: https://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:tools:backup)
Tap the APK file in your phone's file manager.
The system asks if you really want to install an APK from an unknown source - confirm you want to do that.
That's it.

Hi Michal, Three days ago I installed LM4 on my tablet. There were no problems, except for a bit of confusion at the end with the Google Play Store dialog.
I'm now registered as a Gold user – and have already spent hours trying to learn the new interface, sometimes successfully, sometimes not. Today I'm extremely frustrated because even the knowledge base isn't giving me any answers...
After these initial steps, I quickly decided to keep the old "Classic" version on my smartphone (Sony XZ1 Compact, Android 9) until I'm convinced I can manage on the smaller screen. ---
Before switching, I read some negative comments from other users on your blog and thought, "That can't happen to me..." I was wrong!
I won't list my individual criticisms here, but will start new topics so other users can benefit from them.
My question or suggestion is: Is there a specific FAQ for problems encountered when switching to LM4 on your website? I can't imagine I'm the only one who has to painstakingly learn everything again. Thanks in advance. HaWe
