short track

Hi,

when I use Android Auto I use the rotating map. When I stop at a crossing or traffic light the screen turns wild around and I loose my orientation.

It would help if tracking would be activated because I would see where I came from. But I do not want always to use track recording.

What about a feature (not only for android auto) which shows a short track which always shows the last 500m or last 1 minute of movement. Nothing more.

This also could get a quicker orientation while hiking even with true north orientated map.
