Repeated crash after problem with gold-abo

Since the initial rejection of the subscription payment in the Play Store, I have been unable to use LM4.


First, I renewed the subscription via an alternative method (credit code), then reactivated LM by logging in via the Locus Store, and then one crash followed another.


In the meantime, I completely uninstalled Locus, backed up the entire directory and then deleted it, restarted the device, reinstalled the app, and thought everything was back to normal. I was able to make various configurations over several hours.


Then, whilst recording my first track and switching to flight mode – crash. Afterwards, Locus does start up, but usually crashes within seconds, sometimes after a few minutes.


What is the best way to generate a log on Android 16 that Menion might be able to analyse?


It’s strange that the version that crashed first had been running without any issues for weeks beforehand; the problem only started after I reactivated my subscription.


Does anyone else have a useful tip to help get to the bottom of this problem?

Hi Michael

I am back from holiday, so, time to test has decreased a lot.

I did a clean installation without any historic data, downloaded 2 maps from locus store, and till now, no crash.


What is the difference to the situation before:


I used some maps from opensando.org with different themes, but did not change this on the last 3 month.


It was an acute problem after unfreezing the golden abonnement.


Will test some more days and write again here

Hi Micheal

I’ve identified the cause of the regular crashes in Locus Weg. When I start the app without the dashboard enabled, the screen recording runs without any issues. As soon as I enable the dashboard and display it on the screen, the app crashes; in other words, the map view is no longer visible, but the status bar shows that the screen recording is still running. Only once it is possible to pause the track via the status bar is it possible to switch off the dashboard. As long as it is switched on, the app crashes a few seconds after starting in the manner described above.

Over night, recording 13 hours with activated dashboard, no crash.
