Photo thumbnails are sometimes not generated.

When I take a photo with geotagging, it appears as a thumbnail on the map. Every now and then, a thumbnail isn’t generated for certain photos. However, these photos do contain the geocoordinates as normal, and when I select ‘Show on map’ in the photo gallery, the correct location is marked there. It’s just that there’s no thumbnail.
It only happens now and then, but it does happen regularly. (And it’s not down to the filter settings).

Are the photos that do not emerge in the thumbnails stored in any particular storage? External SD card, perhaps?

I'm afraid this is very difficult to reproduce. Nobody from our team is able to simulate it now or has experienced such behavior. And nobody else has reported a similar problem.

Could you please:
- send your user ID (main menu > heldesk/about app > app info)
- long-press the main menu button > enable setup logging > repeat the action leading to the empty thumbnails > go to /Locus/logs/ folders in the main app directory and copy the latest TXT file and share it here

Hi,
We've identified the likely cause — it's a timing issue where the map overlay sometimes tries to load the thumbnail before the system has finished generating it. We're tracking this and will address it in a future update. As a workaround, force-stopping the app and reopening it will trigger a full rescan and should restore any missing thumbnails.

It still happens now and then, even with 4.33.0.11. Once yesterday, twice today... At least the thumbnails are now generated after a restart, although I’d cleared the cache beforehand for other reasons.
It’s no big deal and I can live with it as long as it doesn’t happen too often. But it just doesn’t work completely reliably.
Beta 4.33.0.12 came out earlier; let’s see if that stabilises things a bit.
