Locus Map Watch isn't immediately showing the correct orientation on the smartwatch.

Dear Locus Team, I am using Locus 4.35 on a Honor 200 Pro running Android 16. I also have the current Locus Map Watch running on a Google Pixel 3. After toggling all the settings on both devices (and within Locus itself) that control power-saving mechanisms (which might otherwise disconnect Bluetooth or turn off GPS), Locus Map Watch has been running stably for weeks without any connection drops. So far, so good.

Unfortunately, I have now run into a new problem. When I wake up the smartwatch by turning my wrist, Locus Map Watch does not initially display the map oriented toward my line of sight. After about 1 to 2 seconds, it snaps to the correct orientation. If I look at the watch again shortly after, the orientation is correct immediately. However, after a pause of a few minutes, it starts up again with the "wrong" orientation. The display on the phone itself shows the correct orientation toward my Line of sight without any issues.

I have experimented with various settings (GPS, hardware compass, or AUTO), but the behavior persists and is very annoying. I would appreciate any tips—perhaps I’ve overlooked something. Best Regards, Axel

Hi Axel,

the Locus Map Watch add-on is expecting a major overhaul this year. Please wait for its update - I believe this issue will be fixed.
