I can add.

When I start a search at the folder level of Screenshoot 1, number of all items is correct also (35).

Screenshot 2: Have you included the subfolder ‘Mes Parcours déjà faits’ in your count? Locus actually counts that one as well (32 tracks + 1 subfolder = 33 items).

But it’s true, the numbering system isn’t always consistent. Subfolders are only counted at the respective folder level (list), but not at higher levels.

No, I did not count the subfolder. I count 32 tracks.

But, if subfolder is counted as one item, on screenshoot 1, count should be 36.

That’s what I mean by ‘somewhat inconsistent’. The subfolders are only counted at the currently displayed folder level; at a higher level, only the tracks (and, where applicable, points) are counted.

Let’s assume you have a main folder A. Inside it, there are 5 subfolders and 3 tracks. The view for A displays 8.

Now, those 5 subfolders could well have numerous further subfolders (and those in turn could have more, and so on). If all of these were counted in the view for A, the number displayed would hardly make any sense.

That’s why subfolders AND tracks/items are only counted together in the respective level view. Otherwise, only the tracks/items are counted.
