Is there any plan for inserting battery saving option, I mean turning off gps intervals for example when hiking when time between storing location is longer than minute or so. I know about trick with it , but I often change profiles and forget to turn on or off that option trick.

Hello ulmus,

I was also thinking about it. Currently there is no such plan, anyway I changed your question to idea, so others may vote.

Please consider adding auto-off options to track recording profiles - otherwise the global auto-off option gets in the way of the track recording profiles. GPS update interval suitable for walking (like 30-60 sec.) is totaly wrong for recording in car or bike profile. The way auto-off is implemented now I don't use GPS

auto-off at all because everytime I wan't to record a track with a car

profile I would have to switch off GPS auto-off completely.

I think the best solution would be: :

  • Treat existing GPS auto-off settings as a base settings used when browsing a map.
  • Each recording profile should have it's own GPS auto-off settings which would be able to override the default "browsing a map" settings.

What do you think?

OK, I understand. Please however consider adding an option in GPS auto-off settings to disable auto-off during track recording. Or, even better, option in a track recording profile, to disable auto-off during recording with that profile - that way we could use auto-off in our hiking or trekking profiles where power saving is important and disable auto off in a car.
