Tracking shows straight lines

When I initiate track recording and the screen is turned off, Locus records straight lines. The only way to get accurate recording of the track is to leave the screen active and hold the phone (Samsung Galaxy S23+; SM-S916U) such that body parts or clothing does not touch the screen and activate some other app functionality. I'm attaching several screenshots via hyperlink, e.g. an actual track recording and multiple screenshots of current settings.

Hi,

please get Locus Map permission for all-time access to the location and exclude Locus Map from all battery optimization methods so the app can run in the background; see http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:gps_lost_fix_android6. Also, switch Google Services Assisted Location off in Locus settings - GPS&sensors.

Plus, set the GPS filter at least to medium and turn on the option "run as a service". Also, try updating the A-GPS data.

Thanks for these suggestions. I don't see "Option: 'Run as a Service' " Is that in Locus app Settings, or ???
