Offline Lomaps Greenland missing contour lines

Known

No contour lines in offline lomaps of Greenland. They are present in online maps and in all my other offline lomaps. Elevation data is present. Redownloaded and problem still present.

Hi,

thank you for your message. This behaviour is not a bug but a limitation of the current Greenland LoMaps. Including contour lines would make the map extremely large and difficult to generate, so the offline version is provided without them.

The good news is that we are already working on a new generation of LoMaps, where contour lines should be included even for Greenland.

Right, I understand and that makes sense there would be technical limitations. It is kind of a bummer because most people would eventually only need a very small area. Great to hear you are working on it though and thanks for the reply. In the meantime I have downloaded an OSM map of my route instead.

Sie könnten die OpenAndroMaps-Karte ausprobieren. Falls Sie über Offline-Höhendaten verfügen, können Sie auch die Schattierungsfunktion nutzen.

If you have enough space, I'd still keep LoMap installed. Because of the offline addresses. I always have both installed: OAM and LoMap.
