Differentiate the color of the planned route between road and trail

I am an Italian firefighter using Locus Map 4 Gold
For search and rescue operations, I’ve set up a profile that bypasses mountain barriers and finds the fastest route to the target. However, I need an intuitive way to see exactly how far I can drive my off-road vehicle.

Is it possible to implement an automatic visual distinction (e.g. using color) or mark the point where the road turns into a trail?
Does such a tool already exist in LM4? Could it be developed in the future?

I planned a route on my road bike to test it out. At the end, I included a rough gravel road and a trail. The route planner issues a warning there. It also indicates that the last 1.1 km are ahead.

You could create a custom routing profile where these warnings are tailored to your needs.

Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately this is not a stable or reliable solution for my use case.

I use a custom BRF profile in offline LoRouter, and as far as I can tell these warnings are only generated for the built-in activities and cannot be tailored to a custom profile. So I can't rely on them to know where the road ends.

I'm using Locus for rescue vehicles. In that context the crew needs to know, without any doubt, the exact point where the vehicle has to stop and the route continues on foot. A warning that may or may not appear is not enough, especially offline and in areas with no signal.

What would really help is a built-in, offline option that automatically marks the point where a route changes from drivable road to trail or foot path (for example a "vehicle access ends" waypoint or alert), and that works with custom routing profiles too.

Is something like this planned?

Hi Andrea,

Sorry for the inconvenience but the implementation of warnings for custom routing profiles is not planned for the near future. The only option is to place the alert marks as user points on the places where tracks change onto a trail, according to the map.

For Search and Rescue team, that have LM4gold it's a feature that LM should develop for offline routing. Now it's also possible to develop a website that does this with a browser and HTML and JS code, but if there's no connection, the site crashes...
