Answered

when displaying previously recorded tracks...how does one change the display options? Specifically, the trackpoints. I have a couple of track where the track is present (good), but also the trackpoints (not so good), both at the same time. How does one hide the trackpoints (or not)?

Hi Ken,

you're writing that the track was recorded? Then you had to tap manually all those waypoints, right? Otherwise it looks like a imported GPX with "<rte>" tags instead of "<trk>". Anyway, waypoints are a part of the track so they cannot be hidden

Thank you. For reply.

Your are correct. . First file was manually input.

The attached was generated by locus track recording.

So your are saying imported and manual produced tracks will show way points as well as track with no option to not show way points?

the second screenshot displays the imported GPX right? Locus track recording produces and displays clear line without waypoints unless you manually add them. Nevertheless, both imported or manually created route with waypoints (more exactly routepoints) can't be displayed without the routepoints.

maybe there are any (web)tools to convert your tracks satisfactorily

eg http://www.gpsvisualizer.com

Ok..

I think I stumbled on what is happening.

Michael, from your first reply..gpx.

I updated the os on my phone. Part of that chore was to try and save important data (in this case tracks). Which I did, then when I reclaimed them, somehow, they have arrived as gpx files. So, at least not lost, now will try gynta suggestion for re-processing.

Which brings up another issue/question, another thread...which storage on android is now recommended highest. Mylocus on SD card.or menion folder.

Thanks for support..

So that you won't lose data when reinstalling, select the "MyLocus" method - Locus working directory stays in internal memory, your maps on the SD card.
