Hi, i am using calendar and want to see place in Locus not in google maps.

When i tap on address in calendar (particulary in Businness Calendar 2) i can see it on google maps but not in Locus :(

I can choose locus form shares but it doesnt show the place (google maps shows).

locus already supports this. it seems like you have set google maps as the default map aplication. go to settings>apps>maps>clear defaults.

No, it is not the point. I have no default app. Every time i tap on my calendar place, i can choose one of the apps. I always choose 'only once'. And when i choose google then it opens google maps at proper place, but if i choose locus pro then it opens at the last place i was when i run Locus app.

yes, you are right. this function works well in my default android calendar but doesn't work in businness clendar. so it is partly an businness calendar issue. it's similar to http://help.locusmap.eu/topic/locus-action-xml-files-not-working-in-firefox-for-android

You said that it works in default calendar, i can say more: all calendar i know work with google maps but not with Locus, so it is not so obvious that it is case of "Fact that some alternative calendar is not able to send correct information" as Menion said... i think.

Fact that some alternative calendar is not able to send correct information, which works correctly in case of default calendar, cannot be considered as issue I think.

Anyway check next 3.9.0 version, it should be working there. Maybe ...

Oki, understand. Please try firstly last 3.9.0 version of Locus.

If it still won't work, I'll need link to some free version of calendar that cause troubles and some description what to do and where write required info, to test exactly this issue. With these information, I'll gladly check and test why it do not work as expected.

Still doesn't work :( i think that it has something to do with place/address search, because i defined place by its name and city, and google maps found that (if i tap it and share from calendar). So... i suppose that it is simple string that google maps can find, so it is not exactly bug or something, it is about search of address and find coordinates to show on the map... i tried other app and saw just string withh address.

So... never mind... but it would be nice if locus would find shared address.

But it should work same in Locus. Locus should receive defined text and then automatically start same function as is in menu > search > address with predefined text.

i copied whole text from address from calendar to the clipboard and paste into locus search address and it found that exactly.

It is Business Calendar 2, link to frre ver.:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appgenix.bizcal

Just add event with date, time and localization writing address.

i usually tap folded map icon on agenda widget to see the place. When tapping i can choose app to share to, i didnt set default app 'cause i like to choose in what app i will see the place i am looking for.

Thanx Menion, you're like a lightning!

Just curious, what was the cause?

Sure, you are welcome.

Problem was quite un-typical format of information that Locus received.

  1. geo:?q=address

Where all apps I used till now sends

  1. geo:0,0?q=Jasminova 2202

in case, they do not know Location. And Locus was not able to load it correctly.

I forgot mention that it is about address with city, Street and building number. Not coordinates.
