click the plus button in the maps section - add your personal map. locus also has settings for the default directorys in the menu if you save your maps in a wierd place. Hmm my internets so slow your screenshots only just loaded lols - looks like the maps are showing ok but just wont display?

Might need more of a expert on this one than me sorry

I'm sorry probably my poor English but I'm not sure if I can understand you issue. However in new version 3.9.0 is "Personal" tab joined with "Vector" tab into new tab "Offline". Would you please explain your issue more detailed, please? Thanks

I'll try.

In the screenshot yellow section, are included the names of maps which I have saved. , however, as you can see there is no possibility of making a selection. (menu, maps, offline)

The second screenshot is the folder "maps" when reviewed outside the locus app. All individual files are shown.

The app seems to be grabbing the file names and creating one long text file sentence. The option to select a map to be active no longer exists.

Thanks for info. Locus really grabs map files into one "map" that has the same name as name of folder where are all map files stored. Locus automatically loads data from all map files when you select such grabbed maps. It's quite useful when you have similar maps in one folder. However, if you need to select particular map files, you need to place map files into default directory: Locus/maps

Thanks for response.

Why would you want user to try load and display maps from across the globe, in many types (i.e. Was, satellite, topped, vector and on and on) all at once. When one purpose of saving screen or definitely ed area was that is all that needed loaded.

Attached screenshot show problems local us having with this change.

First screenshot shows multi maps types in one fairly small geographical area, and the non use-ability.

The second shows locus troubles with loafing.

Previous additions work fine, why change to this problem?

Are you suggesting that each map be placed in an individual folder to work.

I just think there must be a disconnect here, previous version made good sense in data management and worked.

Thanks for any assistance

notice many errors of typing due to automatic correction on mobile. Sorry,

first line...WMS file not Was,,,topo, not topped

second line...defined area...not definitely ed area

6th line...loading...not loafing

I thought the reason of "filling in the blanks with another map type" was pretty obvious. Most users would want this over not having a map at all.......

If you dont like this - just go to the options and turn off auto loading of any map type. Then locus will ignore your missing map tiles and simply display nothing instead

Better the different map types are in seperate directorys - that is better map management not just having them all lobbed in the same spot causing confusion about what maps what and it makes it hard for everybody with updating their maps as well as locus treating the maps in the same directory as the same map (they get their name from the directory name).......always has........? so makes sense on every level to have your maps seperated so locus knows what maps are ok to auto load and which ones are not, especially as some peoples maps span multiple files.

Hi,

there are no changes in loading maps in 3.9.0 (without new offline tab). Honestly it's little bit complicated for me to understand your all backups and extern folder. Maybe you backuped maps from Locus/maps to the new folder and then added whole folder as exter maps dir. This change the way how map are loaded. However I suggest to add every map *.sqlitedb file manually or place them into default folder Locus/maps

Grabbing maps is very old feature and lot's user like it because it enable to loads several map parts (files) as one map.
