KMZ export hangs at 96%, never completes

I have 28 points attached to quite a few 5mb photos. Am I running into some kind of size limit so it won't export?

I'm not aware of any limits in export feature.

What you mean by "it won't export"? Did you tried to wait a longer?

I waited overnight but no luck. So I broke up my points into 4 groups and exported four kmzs separately. That worked. The exported files ranged from 94mb to 145mb. The total for all was 456mb. So that must have exceeded a limit.

Hmm almost 0.5 GB is quite a lot, anyway there should not be any limitations, interesting.

If you want to do something with it, you may try to create a log by this method: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:how_to_create_debug_log , but expect that I cannot promise I'll be able to help here. Problem should be also because of some input/output troubles in android/SD card.

I got back into this and figured it out. The photos I took and attached to each point in the kmz were just too big. I downsized them and now all is well.

Hello Alan,

glad you found a working solution for you. Even if this topic is quite old, since then no other people complain about same problem. It looks that you really have too much photos (or too big) on Locus Map :).
