Indicate way points in chart

Hey,

I have a gpx file with a track and waypoints, some of which are on the track. When I import the gpx, way points are imported as points. Is it possible to somehow show these points (as long as they are on the track) in the elevation chart? Checking "show waypoints" in chart advanced settings does not help. Is there any way to assign way points to a track?

Thanks!

Hi Tirfo, maybe you overlooked Locus Map's offer to include the imported wapoints in the track during the import. Try to reimport the GPX file and check the option.

Without checking it the imported waypoints aren't part of the track so they cannot be displayed in the track chart. The chart can display only waypoints that are created from a trackpoint - either manually or automatically by the guidance feature.

So, as a workaround, to indicate a specific position on the track in the elevation chart I need to convert a track point at this position into a navigation waypoint. I found out that this waypoint can be renamed afterwards, but I guess the icon can not be changed to something other than a navigation icon, right? And also there is no way to show the waypoint's name within the chart?

That's right, exactly. Obviously there has been no demand for this functionality yet so I would recommend to start a new topic with this proposal and collect votes from other Locus users.
