Locus crashes when editing a track

mambofive shared this problem 11 years ago
Solved

When editing a track (adding some points to an existing track), locus crashes somtimes.

The error log file contains an java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException.

I`ll send the full error log file via email. I tried to reproduce the error with catlog running, but without success...

The good news is, that the edited track is still there, together with all my changes... ;-)

thank you for log. You use current 2.5.6 version from market? It`s not visible in error file ...

anyway crash will be probably depend on zoom level. In lower zoom levels, displayed track is limited, so it only show every Xth point. And this is probably causing this issues after editing. So if you zoom it a lot, then editing will works correctly. When you zoom out, there will be problem ... but as I test it, all works fine. I`ll try to check older code when you say me version you use, or you may also test it with new test version https://dl.dropbox.com/u/8015949/Locu... but result will be probably same

place where this error happen is clear, but I don`t know why this happen. So I added at least condition that prevent from this crash. Side effect may be that in one cycle of draw, will track miss highlighted point. Not a big issue, but also not a perfect solution.

EDIT: and of course, thank you for report and help with "solving"!

Same problem, 2 years after. Locus 3.9.3.

I try to edit a track moving and adding missing points (lack of gps signal). Nothing to do: Locus crashes continuously.

I tried to zoom out as Menion said. Nothing. The track exists yet, but changes are lost.
