Edit dashboard problem

Arpad Orfi shared this problem 8 years ago
Not a Problem

When you edit a dashboard and change an item on it, the changed item cannot be manipulated further. It even can’t be selected.

So you can’t do anything with it. You have to save first and reopen the dashboard to be able to alter/set the item.

Good day Arpad,

unfortunately I'm unable to simulate your problem. No matter what I do, all items works correctly. So may you please share your dashboard file (stored in Locus/data/dashboard)? Maybe there is an issue in this file and I'll be able to simulate same issue on my device (which is essential to fix it).

Now it works on my device, too.

Don't know what was the problem, but now it works OK.

Sorry for the report.

Anyway, let me ask the question what seemingly haven't got through your blog site:

How do you get that blending notification bar on your phone?

So how is it possible to display the Locus screen not below the notification bar, but right on it, blending the Locus screen into notification bar?

Hmm fact that it do not worked and work now, means that there is probably some small hidden issue. If you find some way to simulate it in future, feel free to continue in this topic.

About your second question - I think you probably talk about full-screen mode that Locus offer in settings > screen. This cause that top system bar and bottom software navigation buttons will be hidden and visible only on slide or when some dialog/popup appear on screen.

Thanks.

No, it’s not that setting.

When I turn it on, the Android notification bar completely disappears and can’t be displayed even if I swipe from the upper edge of the screen.

On your screen shots on the News page of locusmap.eu page I can see on the pictures that the Android notification bar haven’t disappeared but get overlaid by the Locus screen. I.e. the topmost few pixels are shared between Locus and the Android system.

Hmm this looks like some speciality of Xiaomi device, that my colleague Michal use. He is anyway on a vacation right now, so he will give you precise answer once he return back.

Hello Menion,

Is Michal back from his vacation?

Hi Arpad,

it's precisely the way how Menion commented it. It's one of MIUI properties to make screenshots from the slide down menu where the screenshot button is placed. I select a screen to make a shot of, slide down the topbar, tap the screenshot button, the menu slides back and the screenshot goes off catching a glimpse of the sliding menu. Thus it makes this "effect".
