Additional coordinates type

Would it be possible at some stage in the future to add New Zealand Transverse Mercator 2000 (NZTM2000) projections to the `Coordinates type` options? The NZTopo50 1:50000 scale maps are based on this system.
Here is a link to the NZ Govt site with info on NZTM2000 projection.
