Import data by "Remote File": which URLs work?

Hi, in the "Import File" dialogue under "Remote File" you can insert an URL.
My question is: which kind of URLs will be accepted by Locus? I tried a Google My Maps URL: that didn't work, although the KML and KMZ of that My Maps did work.

I believe that only really basic url that points to importable files will work. So link on any GPX/KML file should be fine. Link on some services like My Maps definitely won't work.
