gpx import issue from MS OneNote

I use MS OneNote as a pocketbook on my Samsung Note 8 (Android 4.4.2) to add relevant notes to my trips. Embedded files normally can be open by the resp. app. When I tried to open a gpx-file, a window opens where I can select Locus Map Pro for further processing. LMP starts and an import is running - but ends with a comment that import was not successful - Close Locus and try it again. When I mover the same to DropBox, file was imported without problem.

Good day maxburg,

I've just installed MS Note application on my Android device and after login and creating first note, I try to attach existing GPX file, but I cannot find a method how to do it. At top are only buttons Insert > Pictures, Sound, Task and Marks, but not a file. So you have to write me more, because I need to test it on my device to try to fix it.

Hello Menion,

the files incl. gpx I can attached only in the desktop version of OneNote running on Windows-OS on my PC. It might be a limitation of the freely available version of OneNote. The pocketbook is synchronised with the Android-version on my tablet and I do have access to the files and any remarks made in OneNote. It works perfectly with pdf, kml and other file formats. On tour, I can add text and picture - perfect as a tourbook.

Hello, oki, understand.

I was able to insert file into note on some microsoft web page. Finally able to test it directly in device. Anyway I have to say, that file is provided (after click) over some special technique and seems that it is not accessible from available methods. I have tried to open this file in four other map/navigation apps that usually handle GPX files without problem and none of them was success.

On second side, Total commander open this file without a problem. I¨m sorry, but this problem is unsolvable for me for now.
