Quick Settings: Switches for Top-Bottom panel hiding

This should be easy to do, hope I'm not the only one wishing for that:

I often switch top/bottom panel hiding on/off (while biking, I want as much screen as possible, when hiking I more often need quick access to several functions). Right now, that's always a lot of taps into the settings.

I think this would be perfect switches to be included in the quick settings.

Same goes for function panel, although that has three settings, so I realize that might be a bigger problem.

try

set "hide panels" top and bottom when inactive

and set the "timeout" to 9999 - so you can toggle with a double tap.

Interesting solution. I tried it on my Note 4 and S4 and it worked well. However, I chose 99999 - your value is less than 3 hours.

Still would find a button much more elegant than this workaround.

well - you need more than 3 hours to select a function from the panel? :D

Well, when cycling I might... ;)

OK, not really - I forgot that it's inactivity, not just time since last double-tap...

With the new profiles (since 3.22), there exists a good way to handle this. So I'd be OK to mark this a Implemented (even though it's not the same) or close it anyway...
