Not only rectangle area when downloading maps

Zailor shared this idea 13 years ago

The common way to download a map is to define a (green) area.

But the area is alwas a rectangle or a square.

It would be nice to have the possiblity to even further define the area exactly what you want to download. Offcourse the downloaded tiles still are square`s ?

BUT I think this extra feature would reduce the ammount of downloaded tiles.

You see my coastlines are "always" running diagonalt over the map ;-)

Have you seen the possibilities for download on basis of POIs or routes?

Thanks druki ! You made my day !!

The feature download map by Select Path is perfect for me !

Now I can define a path along a coastline or a river and then just download the part of interest for me - great.

Save memory and "tiles for the day"

So Menion, I don`t think this is any idea anymore, rather a question ;-)

Cheers

In latest versions of Locus (I think 2.17.0+) is ability to define completely free polygon for map downloading. Enjoy it.
