Under navigation Locus Pro stutters and freezes

Aleksander shared this problem 8 years ago
Solved

Problem as in title. After path calculation Locus Pro stutters and freezes. Recalculates path all the time. It becomes useful in navigation mode. Ignore my post in http://help.locusmap.eu/topic/rotating_the_map_and_compass, please.

I think that was not happening before last upgrade.

Good day Aleksander,

may you please provide me more information for this problem. Mainly:

- coordinates of start point

- coordinates of end point

- source for routing (MapQuest, BRouter, ...)

- type of routing (car, bike, ...)

- "compute instructions" on/off

Whatever other useful, that may helps to simulate problem on own device. Thanks and sorry for a complications.

I was geocaching in a old seaside town Piran.

N 45° 31.365 E 013° 34.427,

N 45° 31.791 E 013°, 34.063,

N 45° 31.493 E 013° 34.062

Source for routing all online, not BRouter

Type mostly car and bike.

Compute instructions - yes.

Problem is must be connected or with poor reception or when we are not directly in a path and online calculation is in progress. Program freezes when is a question mark in upper left corner and the path is not calculated.

On first point is MapQuest unable to calculate a route anyway Yours made no problem here. After recalculation also no problem on own device.

You wrote that Locus freeze. This means that you still see an map, but application do not react? Did you tried to let Locus live a while? In case Locus crash and you see an black dialog with option to send a bug report, did you do it?

Locus is not crashing. Map stops rotating with a compass and that is frustrating, because thats lead you in a wrong direction, beforu you notice. I can not use voice giudance. I need to check all the time if the program works properly Like the program stops working until path is recalculated. Yes I did try Locus let alive, sometimes helps, sometimes not. I think compass/Locus should be independent from GPS position.

During our conversation I am performing tests. It seems the problem is corelated how many satellites are present. Under 8-9 problems begins. I am using external Garmin Glo.

Good day Aleksander,

I'm really sorry for a huge delay. I've now noticed, that we not finished this problem more then 10 months ago. Are you still using Locus Map application and still this problem exists? Please let me know if you will wants to solve it.

As I know you already solved this problem, and there was some problem with navigation icons in upper left corner, who were demanding more and more memory.
