When I select MapQuest then ia it ok.

I use the Navigation together with bouter last year, then it works.

Good day Otto,

there were some major changes in BRouter 1.4.0+. To make it work perfectly also with new feature ( valid computed navigation commands ), it is necessary to referesh BRouter data. Best solution is to completely remove BRouter directory on your SD card/internal memory and download over BRouter application new routing data. This operation also create new routing profiles.

I believe this solution helps you. Let me know in case of any problems.

Sorry, deleting BRouter Segments and reloading did not work for me. Still have the problem that Locus - when navigating with BRouter - remains in tracking ("Zielführung") mode and does not navigate any more.

Try complete BRouter unistall/reinstall. It is not necessery, but the easiest and the most reliable way. OTOH, Deleting segments does not matter much, there is no new data format to support navigation hints.

I have the problem that navigation by foot doesen't work. There it only guids me. Navigation with car and bike works perfectly

The reason may be, that the shortest.brf profile, the only standard profile applicable to pedestrians, was not updated to be able to producenavigation hints.

You may try this Hiking profile

Look also at deriving different foot profiles

I have the same problem. In locus 3.12.2 it works fine. No change in shortest profile. I had to restore this version from my backup. I use foot navigation only for my biking in forest. Other profiles doesn't contain all of path I go. I checked also hiking beta profile with calculates good track but it is not working on new Locus 3.18.4. I raised problem ticket and hope it will be corrected soon.

The hiking beta is an obsolete version of above mentioned Hiking, and is not part of Brouter.

Hiking beta profile can used in brouter.de page and replaced as placed in Android device in brouter/profiles2 folder

As the Hiking-beta profille author I do know that. But is is more than a year old. Aside of the improvements, it is not aware of the new BRouter navigation instructions feature.

Its only advantage is it can be used in the brouter web out of the box. Other custom profiles have to be uploaded ( temporarily for now ) to the web via pasting their code in bottom left text input area, using then profile "Custom".

For BRouter application, there is no reason to use Hiking-beta, but profiles based on the Hiking profile template are preferred.
