Track Recording - How to set notifications as text

Hi,

I have a "smart watch" and software in the Android phone that allows him to push text notifications of the app. via Bluetooth.

When recording a track, it would be interesting to have, at a given frequency, informations on the progress.

There is a good text to voice converter in Locus, but I'm lost in the documentation, I can’t find the information if text notification is available and how to enable it to feed my watch.

Thank you in advance for the psychological support :-)

Sorry for my poor English!

Good day Andre,

Important information is, how your watches grab texts from other applications? I'm worried such task can be possible without some kind of "addon" that will send information received from Locus to your watches.

Thank you for the answer Menion!

Communication between phone applications (ex. “Locus”) and the watch (“U8”) is using the

application "BT Notification: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.along02.btnotification&hl=fr) which pushes all Android app. text notifications to the watch via Bluetooth.

It's simple and usable for all Bluetooth watches even a $ 15 “U8” Chinese watch J.

Thanks again !

Good day André,

I'm checking mentioned application and it seems, that it simply forward basic Android system notifications to your watches, is it correct? So when Locus track recording starts and you see in your device notification in top status bar about running Locus track recording, is this notification forwarded to your watches? Values in top panel are updated once per few seconds, so you should be able to get these notifications in your watches as well. Or it works in different way?

Anyway I'm worried I won't be able to help. Firstly because I still don't have clear idea how system works, secondly because it will require extra work for really tiny group of people that use such watches. And unfortunately my time is limited. Thank you for understanding.

Good day Menion,

Firstly a big thank you for the time you devoted to help me.

Yes the Android app. simply forward basic Android system notifications to my watches.

When Locus record a track I can see the notification of the record in the status bar, but the information is not transmitted to my watch.

The event is not intercepted by the BT software, and Locus should create a new event at each refresh of the distance, which does not seem the case.

I'll experiment with another interface software.

Thanks again !

Have a good day !

Good day André,

you are welcome of course. If there is possibility to test another software, then it's a good step. Locus is currently posting update of top notification during track recording once per 15 seconds. It's quite common method, nothing special, so I'm surprised that it do not work. Only difference to standard one-time notifications, is that this is a permanent notification that is visible for a whole time, till Locus track recording service is running. Not sure if this has any effect on your application. Good luck anyway!
