Good day,

as I'm checking planet.com web page after an year, there seems to be some progress. Anyway from what I was able to study, this web and it's API is really focused mainly on GIS/mapping tools. So question here is, how this may helps Locus Map to be better in it's main purpose > hike & bike companion?

I have the same remark. They don't provide mainstream maps for the public but they focus on businesses. While I understand it would be cool to see very recent aerial imagery in Locus, it doesn't really add value to Locus for its purpose. I don't think a researcher will use Locus to monitor climate change :-)

Besides, if I would want to use these maps in Locus, I have the feeling that I would first need an expensive account. Or in the other case, Menion will need such an account which would be even more expensive :-D
