Hi,

Do you plan to support wmts maps. Swedish Lantmäteriet provides terrain maps in this format for free under CCBY licence.

See this link http://www.lantmateriet.se/en/Maps-and-geographic-information/Geodata-services/Visningstjanster/#faq:topografisk-webbkarta-visning-cc-by

Dear Göran,

thank you for post. I've contacted the Lantmäteriet office to get more info about services and possibilities for Locus app (for example offline caching, etc.). Howeverwe definitely want to add this service in Locus.

Thank you

Hi,

I really appreciate your engagement. Do you have any new information about your communication with Lantmäteriet and the possibility to add their maps as a service in Locus?

For me it's fine if you as a user needs to register for receiving a private token and define the "token url" when adding the wmts service in Locus. This works perfect in Qgis.

My idea as a workaround is to set up my own mapproxy server and convert the wmts service to a wms... to be able to add as wms in Locus... But this is not a production solution of course.

Kind regards,

Göran

Hello Göran,

It's on good way. Honestly there is an limitation 6000 request / minute but we believe that we do not exceed this limit. You're right that we could prepare the solution where every user would input own token but this would be complicated.

Thanks

Hi,

probably quite outdated information. However, I'd like to inform you that Lantmäteriet map are available in Locus. Open Menu > Map > Online > PLUS button > add online > Europe > Sweden > Lantmäteriet topo > tap on Add. Map will be available in the list of online maps.

Regards

Petr

Resolution/zoom is not at all as good in Locus as on Lantmäteriet's web service though. Could this be improved?

The web service can also add pictograms for POIs and layers for trails and natural reserve and national park borders. These would be very interesting to have in Locus also.

See this link for example: https://ext-geoportal.lansstyrelsen.se/simple/?appid=dc64309f02084daeb699235913d2e60f&customquery=NV%20VicNatur%20Nationalparker,NVR_ID=2000931

Hi Kristoffer,

I'm sorry but the public WMTS service we use do not contains the most detailed zoom-level. I also tried to find-out more info about available service but the Lantmäteriet's web is 'broken'

Regarding POIs border etc - I'm sorry but it's not possible to display this layer in Locus Map app.

Thank you for understanding

Hi all!

Here in Finland we use oruxmaps wms layer 0-20 with &styles and no user and no passwords online at adress http://tiles.kartat.kapsi.fi/peruskartta?

It is a good idea convert wmts server to a wms. No request problems after converting. There is filter for all hacks in api and userwords and passwords no required. Start your own program with kapsi sweden. I'm sure it's is better with online wms than wmts gis map loading zoom layers separately than broken sveriges wmts maps. Kapsi offer 20 zoom layers wms map for android (with cache and reload possibility) and other portable devices for anonymous user.

Hi Hannu,

I'm not sure if Kapsi.fi related to Swedish Lantmäteriet map service. As I know Kapsi.fi maps are available only in Finland (maybe I'm wrong). BTW: Locus Map also supports Kapis.fi maps.
