How to disable live geocache download?

Hello, I have somehow enabled a kind of "live geocache import", whereever I go on the map, Locus starts to download a bunch of close by geocaches and shows them on the map. While this is a cool feature, currently I don`t need this at all.
how can I stop this?
I#m logged out of "live geo caching" and have already disabled the GeoCaching Module. But still i get those POIs

You`re probably using feature of one of Geocaching add-on. It can be globally disabled in
"menu > settings > Miscellaneous" > and first item "Enable periodic updates"

It was not the periodic updates but an add-on was indeed the source of the live data: The Geocaching4Locus has a live mode that was enabled!
