I don't know the structiure of your app, but I guess not from the database.

This is the case:

- the map is open

- I want to focus the map to a place on Crete called Sougia

- I open the "Search address" window (upper right corner)

- the search window opens and on the line "City" I type "Sougia"

- then I click the focus button and the map appears with the village Sougia at the center

- so far so good

- after some time I want to delete some or all typed addresses in the "Search address" window

- how do I do this?

Oke, if you call it that way: yes, the search history :O)

Well, it's a good point :)

...but (currently) not possible.

I'm sure the developer team are working for a nice solution soon.

Oké, thanx for the prompt answer. I'm looking forward to be able to remove all the old addresses in the "Search address" history.

Thanx.

Hi Robert, can you please give us your reason you need to clear the search history? No one else has demanded this so far.

No reaction here for a month so I'm marking this topic as answered.

Hello Michal,

Sorry that I missed your question on my request on removing the "Search address" history. I'm rather busy these days (safety critical software design/development for aircraft).

The reason I would like to have a delete option for addresses in the "Search address" history is just to prevent an enormous list of addresses I've ever looked up. I don't think it is that difficult to present the "Delete [Y|N]" option if you select the address. Or is it? Would be nice to have it in a next release.

BTW: I like the app :O)

Regards,

Rob

Why not to address the problem by a way many desktop software already do, like e.g. keeping history just for last few opened files in an editor ? 8 items would look fine for me.

Hello Libor,

That might be a solution on the short term. I would prefer to selectively delete some addresses. Some addresses you may want to keep for a next visit, other addresses not.

Regards,

Rob

Hm, I think it would be rather long term solution. Some items can be reused, keeping themselves up, the other would fall down to be forgotten.

Unless there is a privacy issue. Then it would be better to be able to turn the history off.
