Hi Locus team,

I want to add map downloaded from NZtopo in .kmz but it doesnt work. Neither selecting directory or specific file itself I always get a message "Definovana cesta neni povolena", it doesnt matter if its on external sd or internal storage. It only partialy works when I use import function.

Hi,

KMZ files can be added only via Map items feature. More info: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:items:management#adding_new_items

Check your settings of the Locus/MapItems directory (settings > miscellaneous > default directories > set 'mapItems' directory) and make sure it's "default".

Better go on in English as the thread began in English and others may find information in it useful. Do you have the latest Locus?

And have you tried also some other kmz file? What do you mean exactly by " It only partialy works when I use import function."?

partialy worked, meaning that app imported and displayed the map tiles but after I closed and opened the app it was gone. I havent tried other kmz files, but if it is able to import them I dont think its a problem of file type. The files are downloaded from here: http://www.topomap.co.nz/GarminCustomMaps

Hello guys,

unfortunately I'm unable to simulate this problem. May you check "transparency settings" in left side map content > active items? Isn't there set opacity to 0%?

No reaction for a month so I'm marking this topic as answered.
