Values parameter hiking

Answered

Hello, I wanted to consult all the parameters that use / advise in the configuration of the profile "hiking"? I mean record a point every X meters or every Y seconds, and whether to record when both conditions are met or only one.

Thank you.

Hi Tigus,

I personally use 2 m/10 secs settings with both parameters valid at once (AND) for hiking - the resulting line has a good ratio between accuracy and smoothness.

Hello Michal, thank you very much for replying.

Until the last exit it was configured as 10m AND 10s, and both conditions (AND) are met. But it seemed to me that the route was not so "softened", but it was jumping, missing some details. The advantage in favor is that not many points are saved. I'm going to try with 4m AND 10s.

I have seen the same track using 1m AND 10s in one device, and using 10m AND 10s in another, and in the first case although it recorded more detail ... a sort of spider web was assembled when we walked in the place in search of the Way to go. However in the second case, you had a better idea of the way ... but not so much detail.

I imagine it will be try and error :).

Greetings.

it can be but I'm satisfied with the settings I proposed. If you need more theory, look here: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:tracks:recording:profiles_settings

The theory I know, I read the manual. But I think the practice will help me adjust the parameters according to my case.

I just asked in the help to know what values the rest of the users use and they have proved useful in practice.

Thank you.

OK, just in case, generally the faster your activity is, the longer distance interval and shorter time interval should be set (and vice versa). OR parameter also fits better with the faster activities (AND with the slower ones)
