Appearance of dynamic elevation

Kiril Radev shared this problem 8 years ago
Not a Problem

I changed my old smartphone with powerful HTC 10 with Android 7.0.

In Locus Map's menu Settings-> Maps->Map object i've enabled tick for dynamic elevation. I have the following problem: In my previous smartphone with previous Locus version, the dynamic elevation had displayed on the screen continuously and if i move the map under cursor, the elevation data had changed instantly in real time. Now, when i move the map under cursor, data of dynamic elevation does not displayed constantly, but only when the map is static with 3-4 seconds delay. It gives me great discomfort when planning new routes. Can you suggest a solution?

Sorry for my poor English.

Hi Kiril,

Map, navigation data and elevation data are all different entities. Elevation data are not a part of map, they have to be downloaded separately, see more info here: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:how_to_add_map_shading#sources

Hi Kiril,

it seems you use an online source of elevation data. Download offline data of your area and the values will display instantly.

Hello, Michal

Thanks for your feedback.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I'm sure that I use offline maps for navigation, together with BRouter. I have not changed any of the settings in my smartphone.

I would be grateful if you could help me.

Hello Michal,

I am grateful for the correct answer.

I will explore in detail the instructions and if I do not solve an issue, I will continue the already established theme.

Thank you very much indeed.
