GPS loses connection

After 5 minutes of cycling the app loses GPS signal. I have to manually disable GPS then re-enable before it realises where I am. App apart from that is great but the GPS issue makes it unusable and frustrating as I have to stop every 5 minutes. I have version 3.23.2 on Android 5.0.2. Phone is Xiaomi Mi 2.

Hi Matthew,

your phone disables GPS due to battery optimization. More info: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:gps_lost_fix_android6#xiaomi

Thanks for the quick reply. I found your documentation very helpful. I just investigated and it looks like I can remove the batter saving restrictions for specific apps. I have now set LocusMaps to have no restrictions and allowed the app to use Location services in the background.

That's an option too but test it first, on some devices excluding apps from battery optimization does not work.

Ah yes you were right. The app cannot now find any GPS. I think I need a new phone anyhow.
