Import gpx file in TRACKS tab issue

cata shared this problem 13 years ago
Solved

Hello! I whould like to report an issue with the newest version of Locus pro. I can`t import gpx files from my device`s memory in the TRACKS tab anymore. The only way to import tracks is using ITEMS tab from DATA. The drawback of using this method is that i don`t have the FILL ALTITUDE option. Only the tracks in the TRACKS tab have this option. Please solve this issue. Thank you.

what happen to you when you import any gpx file in tracks tab? I`m trying it now and all seems to work.

You may use button "Import" in action bar or button "import" under tools button in already existing tracks category

After selecting the file from internal memory, i get a question if i really whant to import the selected file, i answer with yes, afyer that another window apears where i select the category where the track will be imported in. After i press the "import" button it simply returns to the import window (the one with "local file" or "remote file" options). I`ve tried with several gpx files and all do the same. After import sequence i checked the tracks tab and nothing appears there. Only the recorded tracks. My device is Galaxy S with android 2.3.4. Thanks.

I just tried around four GPX files and all seems to import correctly by your method.

May you please share some incorrectly imported file? I need to check exact file you try to import, or some that cause troubles. Thanks

Sorry for the delayed answer. Here is the link from where i took the gpx file: http://www.bikemap.net/route/1774311#.... On the right you have the option to export gpx.

I`ve tried also with a previously recorded track and same thing happens. I put a link because i don`t know how to upload a file directly here.

Thans a lot!

Hello,

Any news about the issue above? The import feature is important for me because i go mountain-biking unknown tracks. I have the latest version (v.2.63) installed on my galaxy S phone (android 2.3.4)

Thank you!

hello cata

if you import a gpx - please try to select "Only display (not import)" and let me know if this works for you

I can`t even import through the ITEMS tab... The only way I can get it to show more than one track is to choose "Only display".

Hi xukuru,

sorry I let you wait. Currently is on Android market published new 2.7.0 version. In this version is completely new type of database and also a way how tracks are stored. So please try import feature in this new version and let me know about the result.

Same here... Can`t import gpx tracks since version 2.9.1 and the newest one (2.9.2) didn`t solve the issue either :-( Pretty sure though it will get fixed soon judging by the comments here and the app updates :-)
