Solved

hello,

i filtered geocaches and tried to export in .gpx in locus map pro.

a friend loaded that .gpx file in cgeo. he doesn`t see the geocache names in his list, but only the gc-code as name.

what ist wrong? why doesn`t show me the geocache names?

Hi,

I think you should better ask this question in a c:geo forum.

i don`t think so. it seems a locus map export to .gpx file problem.

edit: i created a .gpx file with the same geocaches in gsak. and that works.

Maybe you could append such a "Problem gpx file" here.

Good day,

I believe that Locus map follows common system in Pocket Queries produces by Geocaching.com web site. So <name> tag contains ID of cache ( cache code ) and <groundspeak:name> then contains readable name of cache.

I'm just trying to download GPX from here for example: https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC798PE_prezletice-nohavice

It looks

73457c48dda5e8bbf5cfa2a8784c8be0

And after import into Locus and export it looks

ce41ee51be527821cdfe874e3c85381c

On first look it looks correctly ....

i wanted upload a sample file. but these geocaches has corrected coordinates. i created a file with only events. my friend tried it and he sad it works. maybe the problem are the corrected coordinates?

Uaaa, I was fighting with it whole evening and in desperate I tried export geocaches to GPX version 1.0!! and it works!!! Damn ...

So please, if you plan to use exported geocaches in different application, try to export it in this older version of GPX format. Don't ask me why, but c:geo does not support caches in GPX v 1.1 format. Thanks for bug report, I'll have to add some notification on this directly into app.
