No file system interaction anymore possible, Locus hangs and crashes

Andreas Woithon shared this problem 6 years ago
Not a Problem

Locus Map Pro: 3.22.2

Android: 6.0.1

Device: Samsung S5

I didn't use Locus on that device for about two weeks. Today I create a folder under TRacks and Points, both called "_tmp". Then I tried to import GPX data. Locus hangs in the status "Analyzing" and crashes.

After several more tries, reboots, etc. I tried to delete the "_tmp" folder. Didn't work either. Locus hangs. Then I renamed them to "tmp", that worked.

I tried to import a different and very small GPX, no chance, Locus hangs.

I tried to do a backup, doesn't work, either.

Other applications do not have problems copying, opening or saving files.

Bump. Stuck.

Any help, idea, solution, action?

Update: After another restart I could delete the now colled "tmp" folders. But importing any GPX file is still not possible.

Update: A GPX file I received via mail can be imported. The same file stored on the internal or external SD card not.

Update: Backup is working again, as well. But still no GPX import from the file system.

Dear Andreas,

in first step I'd like to ask you for update on the latest version 3.25. Are you able to create for example any custom point via Menu > Points, please?

Thank you

Hello Petr,

as I needed Locus to work, I deinstalled it an re-installed it. Of course, I got the new version then (3.25.1). I applied the backup and for now it is working.

Unfortunately I can't provide additional troubleshooting information, now.
